Attracting new players

To attract new players and boost the appeal of Bellême Golf Course, Orne Council, the course's owner, invests year after year to:

• improve the course by providing better facilities and equipment
• encourage the sports association to put on events at the site (especially for young players and sports students from the Collège Roger Martin du Gard in Bellême).

In 2009, elected representatives in the Orne signed an agreement with Bellême golf club to increase training possibilities. Training is provided by an instructor in charge of running the junior club and training teams. Orne Council provides the facilities free-of-charge.

In 2011, the Council will construct a new building including a practice range with 8 covered places, new changing rooms and toilets and a trolley storeroom.
